Ice Hockey: Germantown Academy Pick Up Two Wins in Three Days

FORT WASHINGTON -- It has been a busy week for Germantown Academy's ice hockey team. The Patriots faced three games in as many days, with the first game coming against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and the latter two featuring Academy of the New Church. Despite the minimal downtime between contests, GA came away with positive results.

Hosting SCH, the Patriots earned a 7-2 victory which gave them the season sweep over the Blue Devils. Richie Podulka '24 scored three goals and dished out two assists, while Daniel Alexander '25 tallied two goals of his own. Colin Rink '24 and Mick Tronoski '28 each recorded a goal, with Rink adding an assist.

GA fell, 5-4, when they hosted ANC, but bounced back in a big way with an 8-4 win on the road on Jan. 25. Rink recorded three goals to lead GA, while Podulka netted two. Dom Perazza '25, Skylar Saldutti '26, and Armon Aloian '25 each had one goal.

GA sits at 5-4 on the season, with a 3-2 record in the Independence Hockey League. They will travel to play The Haverford School on Jan. 29 at 3:30pm.
