Boys Basketball: Germantown Academy Wins Back-To-Back Games Over SCH, Samuel Fels

FORT WASHINGTON - Bryce Rollerson '25 scored a season-high 36 points and Bryce Presley '26 tallied 13 on Jan. 26 as the Patriots defeated Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 69-64, in an Inter-Ac League basketball matchup. The victory was the first in league play for Germantown Academy, and also leveled the season series with the Blue Devils at 1-1.

The Patriots got out to a 13-7 first quarter lead, but SCH came storming back in the second quarter to make it a four-point game at the half. With his team leading by just two to enter the final frame of play, Rollerson took over. The junior tallied 13 points in the fourth quarter, going a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line, to seal the victory.

The next day, GA was back in action hosting Samuel Fels High School. Although the score and opponent were different, the outcome was the same as the Patriots came away with an 85-70 win. Tyler Nolan '25 led Germantown Academy with 25 points, while Rollerson tallied 21, and Presley recorded 15.

Germantown Academy is 9-10 overall and 1-4 in league play. They return to action on Jan. 30 when they travel to Malvern Prep for a 7pm start.
